12.10 Common Participant Complaints
12.10.1 Participant is Afraid/Nervous About the Nose Drops
- A clear detailed explanation really helps.
- Allow participant to smell the bottle.
- Only place one drop in one nare and allow participant to sit up and see what he/she thinks.
12.10.2 Participant Slowly Leans Away from Administrator During the Trial
- Hold back of neck or head.
- Have other RA stand behind subject and put hands behind participant’s back or head to prevent them from drifting backward.
