12.4 Rhinometry Calibration

The Rhinometer must be calibrated before data acquisition.

  1. Fit the calibration tube to the end of the rhinometer while it sits on a flat surface.
  2. The calibration command will already be highlighted at the bottom of the screen. Press Enter to start the calibration.
  3. After hearing a series of clicks, the program will present a message saying 'Calibration OK' across the screen. The highlight automatically moves to “Acquire” and data can be collected.
  4. If 'Bad Cal' message, exit to MS-DOS and type 'ncnose'. This stands for New Calibration and reboots the system.
