17.11 Leaving the Lab

  1. Instruct the patient to call the nurse if he/she needs any assistance.
  2. Confirm the time of wake-up.
  3. Tell the participant what to expect in the morning and what time you will return.
  4. Clean up, leaving the area as neat as it was before your visit.

Note: If a male participant reports the need to make frequent trips to the bathroom, consider providing a hand-held urinal for bedside use.
