13.16.3 Scoring Procedure

  1. Run the oral_scoring.bat batch file.
  2. Select the appropriate option based on which data you wish to process (2. Family Pharyngometry)
  3. Exit program
  4. The program will remove all files currently in the Oral File directory and will copy files from the appropriate study directory to the Oral File folder.
  5. In the ORAL 5.03 scoring program, hit F6 to view patient list. If Pharyn Check.sas was not run or did not run successfully, the userfile will not be valid and there will be no studies to view.
  6. Select the patient file of interest.
  7. Press Enter
  8. The segment length must be adjusted to capture the data of interest from the Pharyngometry reports. NOTE: To determine the proper segment length, refer to Section: Troubleshooting Guidelines Section.
    • Using the arrows on the screen, set one to the lowest point between the oral cavity and one at the end of the oropharynx.
    • To move a selected arrows left and right, press Ctrl and the left/right arrows on the keyboard with the arrows set, judging the length of each segment should be easier by simply scrolling between the three mouth breath tests.
    • View each graph individually to determine the proper setting of segment lengths. This is accomplished by using the up and down arrows to scroll through the tests
  9. Press F5 to adjust segment length, these are the two last categories at the end of the page
  10. Using the left/right arrows select Print (it will highlight when chosen)
  11. Press Enter. The screen will go from color to B&W while the report is queued
  12. Once finished grading and printing all tests of interest, press Esc to C:> prompt
  13. Type 'Exit'
  14. Press Enter.
  15. Press Esc to exit ORAL 5.03.
