13.16.2 Installing the ORAL 5.04 Scoring Program

Do NOT install this program on the same computer used for performing Pharyngometry. This would cause immeasurable harm to the testing software.

1. Exit windows to the C:\ root directory
2. Insert program disk into the A: drive
3. At the MS-DOS prompt, type 'a:\'
4. Press Enter
5. Type 'install'
6. Press Enter
7. Type 'cd..ORAL'
8. Press Enter
9. Type 'edit nosedef.dat'
10. In the DOS editor, the first line is “SRCE PATH”. In this line type 'C:\oralfile'
11. Press Enter to save change
12. In the DOS editor, select File
13. Select Save
14. To print files, the files must first be moved to the Oral File Directory from the Family Pharyngometry Folder AFTER the Pharyncheck program has been run in SAS.
