We approve many student requests. I see your request in the queue. You should receive a response in a few days. If your data request is not approved right away you will receive guidance on what updates are needed for a resubmission.
Thanks for checking out the site!
Hello - your data request has been returned again with a request for more information.
Yes, users must attest to having completed a human subjects protections course before accessing data on this resource. We provide this link to some freely available courses - https://www.hhs.gov/hipaa/for-professionals/training/index.html
Users' institutions may offer other trainings as well. The training course implies that the user has reviewed materials regarding the importance of protecting data collected from human subjects.
Thanks for your interest in the site!
No problem. I wasn't sure how to troubleshoot further since it seemed like some sort of network issue outside of sleepdata.org. I'm glad the changes you tried on your end were successful!
All the best and enjoy the data.
Hey - thanks. I have no problems downloading the forms (Ruby 2.6, NSRR gem 5.0.0) --
Indeed, a simple resolution is downloading the files manually. It appears as if you have downloaded Ruby 3.0.0 but yet your system is still using Ruby 2.5.5, which I believe could cause issues.
You can switch to another drive before running the 'nsrr' command, which will then download to the other drive. For example, if you have an external hard drive that is the "E:" drive, then type "E:" in the Command Prompt before running the commands.
Can you please try that series of commands and post the results? Thanks!
Hey - thanks for using the NSRR!
The "data-dictionary" CSV files describe the data contained within the mesa-sleep-dataset-0.4.0.commercial.csv dataset (in this folder). That is, the file with "dataset" in the name contains one row per subject and includes columns like sdnnidx_fn5, svspo25, and bmpavg5. You can import the mesa-sleep-dataset into your preferred software package and subset columns from there.
Hey - thanks for your interest in the site!
You need to have an approved data request to access SHHS data. Please submit one for review. Requests are reviewed and responded to within 1-2 weeks.
Sorry, can you post screenshots of the two commands I listed? "ruby -v" and "nsrr -v"
I can then test the same setup you have. We haven't had any reports of the gem not working. Perhaps it is something with the version of Ruby you are using and the latest NSRR gem.
Hey,
Please try the SOF Online website to download other SOF data that can be linked with the polysomnography data here on NSRR.
