Hi NSRR team, I was under the impression that the majority of the datasets available on NSRR used an updated version of R&K for scoring sleep stages. However, I noticed in Purcell et al's recent publication (Quantifying 11K spindles), they state "All studies used American Academy of Sleep Medicine staging, except the SHHS, which used R&K: here NREM3 and NREM4 were collapsed to a single N3 stage, for consistency with the other studies."
This leads me to believe that CCSHS, CFS, MrOS and SOF are scored using the AASM rules.
Is this correct?
Nice find Shaun! Is there any chance you could generate a list of which subjects/channels are potentially affected so we can manually flip polarity? Also, is there any timeline from the NSRR team on when the reprocessing might be done? Thanks!
Hi NSRR, For the HCHS/SOL study is there any EEG or sleep scoring data available? Or only the signals from the Unicoder Sleep Apnea device? Thanks!
Thanks!
The protocol states that there were 2 nights for the people assigned to the lab (normal, not split night) condition (a PSG baseline, and a CPAP titration night). Which night does the provided PSG data come lab/full/ folder? Thanks!
Hi NSRR, I'm looking through the MESA variables and I don't see a BMI, weight or height variable. Some studies using the MESA dataset have looked at weight, so I believe that variable was collected. Am I just overlooking these variables or were they not included in the NSRR version of the MESA data?
Perfect thanks, I had not looked in the domains file...
The Gender Variable in the SHHS cohort takes the values 1 and 2, but the description of the variable (both online and in the .csv data dictionary) do not specify which value corresponds to male/female. Which is which please? Might be a good idea to update that gender description too.
