Hope whoever responds to this is keeping well, much thanks and love as always for the work you do on this site. I'm just wondering if there was any more information available about the dates utilized for actigraphy recording in the SandD dataset. There are days, years and seasons available so I was hoping to generate some pseudo-dates to run the sleep regularity index algorithm on this dataset (the package in R requires Unix timestamps)
Unfortunately, it seems some of the dates aren't chronologically plausible (e.g., it says that Wednesday, 2002 was the first day of Spring which isn't reflected in the calendar.) Is there anyway to access the actual dates of recording or even figure out how seasons were defined? (I presume it was winter = Dec, Jan, Feb but just wanting to double check here). Any assistance or further information is greatly appreciated.

I would guess that the SandD contributors used the dates of equinoxes and solstices as the definition for the start of a given season. This is the most common way we talk about the timing of seasons in the USA.
The Spring equinox in 2002 was on Wednesday, March 20, 2002, so maybe that entry makes sense. You may still face issues engineering dates for recording sessions where season_precise is always the same. Perhaps in those instances you could set the recording session to start at the beginning of the season or to sit in the middle of the season.
