Hi,
In relation to the SHHS, how many participants have HRV data at SHHS1 and SHHS2?
Kind regards,
Steph
Steph,
The SHHS HRV analysis details are here - https://www.sleepdata.org/datasets/shhs/pages/13-hrv-analysis.md
A set of 500 SHHS subjects with data at both visits and high quality ECG data were selected to serve as the basis of this analysis.
Some subjects were excluded -
SHHS1: There were 14 cases with less than 5000 NN intervals for the full night, which were excluded.
SHHS2: There were 5 cases without any NN intervals (200858, 201622, 202164, 203329 and 204375 -- likely atrial fibrillation) that were excluded. In addition, two other cases with less than 50% NNs during sleep time (200139 and 201315) were excluded.
Thanks for checking out the site!
Thanks for that and for getting back to me so promptly. These confirm numbers for participants that have both study 1 and study 2 HRV data. However, were there any participants with HRV data at study 1 or 2 that may not have necessarily had data at both studies (e.g. they only had data at study 1, but not study 2)? If so, is that data available and do you how many participants with HRV data there are at study 1 and study 2? Kind regards, Steph
Only the 500 subjects selected with high quality ECG were included in the SHHS HRV analysis. That analysis involved both automated detection of QRS complexes and manual technician review.
Thus, there aren't any subjects beyond those 500 that have HRV analysis result data posted on our resource. However, there are thousands of other subjects at each SHHS timepoint with usable ECG data (in EDF signal files) that could be used in future HRV projects.
Great!! Thanks for that!!
