Hi, Great thanks for the data provided at first. Currently, I am trying to transfer the Sleep-related EDF file through EDFBrowser and the Matlab edfread function, but both the results only contain the signal data without the Hypnogram information on the top of EDF file. Could you land me a hand about how to obtain the Hyponogram (annotation information) to deal with the result evaluation. My EDF file address is here, https://sleepdata.org/datasets/cfs/files/polysomnography/edfs

Cheers, Jennifer

Jennifer,

I emailed this response, but it would be useful to have on the Forum as well:

Hi Jennifer,

Sleep architecture and respiratory event scoring annotations are available in XML files (separate from the EDFs). You can read more about the XML types on the Polysomnography Introduction page: https://sleepdata.org/datasets/cfs/pages/polysomnography-introduction.md

You will find epoch-by-epoch staging information in the XML files, which you can use to reconstruct the hypnogram.

Thanks for using the site!

Hi, @mrueschman

When I conducted a further sleep stage analysis, then I needed to add the EOG signals. But in the website PSG (https://sleepdata.org/altamira?slug=ccshs&path=polysomnography/edfs/ccshs-trec-1800001.edf&window=300&page=1&auto=.) I didn't know which one is the EOG signal, could you lend me a hand again?

I asked a couple folks here who know more about the CCSHS EDFs to comment.

Hi Jennifer,

The LOC and ROC signals are the EOG signals.
