Regarding the Cleveland Family Survey, I have not yet requested access to the data and before doing so was wondering if the Survey contains panel data, i.e. are the same individuals followed up and data logged over different time periods? The summary alludes to this but if so, are the individuals IDed over time so that you can follow their data over time? I ask because I was hoping to do so with the NHHS data I have downloaded but they clearly de-identified the data in that case.
Thanks for exploring our datasets. The Cleveland Family Study did have multiple visits, though data from only one of the visits is currently posted, so there aren't any longitudinal results to explore.
You said "NHHS" but I think you might mean Sleep Heart Health Study. In that case subjects are identifiable between the visits using the "nsrrid" column.
Thanks for your response. Yes apologies, I meant SHHS. So does this mean those with the same value (e.g 200080) for "nsrrid" in visits 1 and 2 are the same person?
Yes! Many participants appear in the Visit 1 and Visit 2 datasets, as well as the CVD Outcomes dataset. This allows you to look at data from the same participants for up to ~15 years of follow-up.
