HomePAP dataset released

I am pleased to announce that data from the Home Positive Airway Pressure (HomePAP) study are now available. HomePAP took place between 2008 and 2010; it was a project in which 373 subjects at risk for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) were randomized to either a laboratory-based or home-based pathway for diagnosis and (if necessary) titration. Subjects found to have moderate or severe OSA were offered CPAP and their adherence, along with several quality of life questionnaires, were tracked at 1-month and 3-month follow-up visits.

In addition to the core baseline and follow-up datasets, HomePAP includes raw polysomnography signal files (EDFs) from the overnight diagnostic testing. There are 167 home-based sleep studies, 191 lab-based full-night sleep studies, and 56 lab-based split-night sleep studies. Some subjects from the home-based randomization arm have both home-based and lab-based EDF files because an additional lab study was done to confirm the home-based AHI finding.

Please checkout the HomePAP dataset for your next analysis!
